Hello, everyone!

This month has been hectic, and I cant believe I am nearly at the end of primary school!!! I’ve had camps, tests at school, and have been doing heaps of soccer. So, I’ve decided first thing is to do a soccer update and I will write about the rest later!

The main winter season is over, and we had presentation ******

For summer fitness and ball skills his year my team decided to enrol in a sixerside comp, which is a really fun type of mod soccer. Each team usually has six players, and the pitch is the size of an under sixes field. Each game goes for roughly an hour and involves a lot of running since the area is so small. This year we don’t have all of our team playing, so we have roughly four on each team (one goalie, three players) but that’s ok since the teams we play sometimes are a lot younger than us, and we often have boys wanting to fill in and play with us. It is heaps of fun!

On top of that, I also go to goalkeeper training with Andrew Goldman every week. He has really helped me improve my skills and training is so much fun, we do heaps of cool activities and I learn so much. if anyone is interested, go to http://www.goldmanacademy.com.au/

Here are some pics…

Me at this year’s Kahibah presentation day with my trophy:soccer-presentation

I had heaps of fun at the presentation day.we all go a sausage sizzle and a drink wich were really yum! the jumping castle and playground were also awesome. There was a bungee jumping castle where you were tied to the end and had to try and score a goal in the basketball hoop. It was great! anyway, back to the pictures.

I’m really looking forward to playing in these next year.

Also some really exciting news is that I might be attending a soccer development camp with the Newcastle Jets W-League (they are the local representative womens team!) next month. So I will keep you posted about that

So. How are you all doing? Let me know in the comments below!

I wanted to write a blog post is about the creative arts camp I went to.

I went for five days and 4 nights and there were around 182 (I think) attendees. About a fifth of those people were boys, which I found quite amusing. (there were literally four lodges of girls and only one of boys) I stayed in a dorm with three other people, two from my school and one from another. My chosen subject was visual art, but there was also an option to go for drama, dance, and music. There were some really talented artists, dancers, musicians and… Dramatics? No, actors. The word I was looking for was actors. I guess they were very dramatic, though. Haha.

This is me with my friend Belle who also went to the camp.

We did multiple artworks, all either inspired by or under the topic of a picture paints a thousand words.  My favorite of my pictures were these ones:

img_6223img_6225

We were allowed to do whatever we wanted, as long as it included pages and/or pictures from a book. Most people filled the entire canvas up with pages from books but I did it a bit differently! I loved doing this piece, it was so much fun! My dad said it looked like an album cover from a band he likes.

As well as their chosen subject, every art form had to do a rotation with a small class of the other subjects. My favorite was Drama! We also had to learn a dance, because on the fifth day there was a concert and that was the finale. Our parents were able to come and watch that in the afternoon then we went home.

Overall I had a fantastic time, and I wish I could go back next year, but unfortunately it is only for Year 5 and 6 students. It is run by Hunter School of Performing Arts and you had to apply for a place to go. I had heaps of fun and I recommend it to all of you so if you are in year 5 or 6 next year then please ask your teachers about it so that you can be advised when applications open. You might have to do lots of extra chores to pay for it though – just sayin! 😉

Oh, and you get a tshirt:)Love this colour! (But blue is my current favourite colour!)

They also had heaps of cool night activities like trivia, games, and movies. It was held at the sport and rec center at Myuna Bay, which was a very beautiful place. They have a session every day where you can choose to play soccer, volleyball, or just sit and talk.  I hope I get to go back to the camp center again one day as it looks really cool with lots of fun activities available.

I hope you have a great day!  Please tell me in the comments do you love art and design?

Hi!

How have you all been? I haven’t posted on here in ages!  Sorry about that. I’ve been quite busy lately. I think you will find out all the reasons I have been busy with all the posts I will put in in the next few weeks:)

I recently did a photo shoot with my friend Aimee Angelique for her new mantra shirt range and I just had to tell you all about them. Here they are:

Aren’t they awesome! I have the black muscle singlet at home to keep (thought I did wear different versions in the photo shoot) and I wear it all the time. Here is a photo of me wearing it:

namaste-beautiful

My favourite way to wear it is with a cool crop top underneath. This one is a neon yellow one and I have a few others I can wear with it and  I also have a mint and black stripey sports bra that looks great with it too! You can wear it with patterned shorts or with plain shorts or jeans.  You cant see them in this photo, but I was also wearing fluro yellow vans, which contrasted with the yellow sports bra.

Aimee has also released a breathe dream create love range of shirts (which I have in gold and black) and she is also soon releasing a new design called Rock Your Goddess! (check Aimee’s Insta for a sneak peek) I’m so exited for that one!

The shirts are awesome and made of an amazing material that washes well and is soooo comfortable. I also really love the font for Namaste Beautiful, its awesome!

Do you have any mantra tees that you wear? I met a girl last week named Lucia who had a really cool one that said “Free Spirit” on it that I loved!  I have seen lots of fitness type ones in Lorna Jane too!

Oh and here is a pic of Aimee and I:)and here is the link to buy shirts

Hope everyone is enjoying the week and the school holidays for those who have them. We have been to QLD and back home now – more about that later!!!

Hi!

Sorry for not posting in ages, I’ve been really busy with soccer. Speaking of soccer, that’s what this blog post is about! What a coincidence…

Anyway, this year I play in under 12’s and its lots of fun! In my team are a few of my best friends from school (Hi Chloe and Isabel!) who have decided to start playing this year and some of the regulars who I have played with for years like Sammy and Geri and Ella and then a whole heap of other girls who go to a different school to me, but are really awesome too!

Under 12’s is the first year of playing the full sized field, with the official rules like offside and keeping to positions. Also we play in Womens league now, so no boys at all!!! It was hard the first few weeks to run so far but we are all getting fitter every week. In the first game I went as goalie because no one else would and we worked out someone needed to try and commit to being goalie to save the confusion of swapping every week – so I decided that was a job for me!!! I love playing on the field and sometimes I do play half a game and have a run around but being goalie is really fun. It sucks when I let goals in, but as coach always says – “The ball has to get past 10 other players before it gets past you, so it isn’t all your fault if it goes in.”  Of course I still wish I could save every single goal!

By the way, I call him “Coach” in this post, but really he is my Dad! First time ever he has coached my team:)

This is me wearing my goalie gloves. Well, half wearing if you must. They make it much easier to catch the ball because it grips, even when the ball is wet.

My soccer club has a special goal keeper training every week, so I go to that to practice all my catching and diving skills. My trainer is Clint Gosling, the former goal keeper for New Zealand and he used to also train at The Jets. Its really awesome having some one who played international soccer to coach me and my other goal keeper friends and we are getting better and better every week…

Here are some other soccer pics:

In 2014 I won the Tony Birleson achievement award as the U10 Girls player of the year. I was the first girl to win the award so my name will always be first on the plaque. That one stays at the club but the other trophies I get to keep at home.. Yay!

I love playing with my friends! This is Geri, Chloe in the middle and me on the right. But you all know which one is me, of course?

A couple of months ago I went to a Jets game with my friends. Kahibah FC (my club) was a sponsor for the day so I got chosen to go out on the field holding a banner and it was really exciting! This is Geri with me (again!)

I love playing in the mud! Sliding in the mud is really fun. (But messy)

This is me and Geri from about three years ago. So maybe U9. We used to play with boys back then… How different do we look? But so cute, haha.

This has nothing to do with soccer but its Nigella and she is adorable so I’ll show you anyway!

Hope you enjoyed!

Liana Kathryn

And its football. Not soccer. Haha. Just FYI: In Australia they call it soccer, but in most other countries they call it football.  My club is called Kahibah Football Club. But it’s not Australian Football, it is Soccer, with a round ball. It gets so confusing when talking to people some times.

PPS: I might be training to be a soccer ref. Will keep you posted about that news when I hear more!

PS: You and Geri have grown and changed so much!

  • Kathy Bell - Go Kahibah with the best goalie ever…just keep having fun girls.ReplyCancel

  • Coach - Hey super Keeper… Great blog. Football is about passion and you sure have a lot of that. To step up and take the position of goalie on the team that is not always the most glamourous, not always the most exciting but always remember with out the keeper there is no team. Keep up your practice and never give up and one day you too can coach. (Maybe your sisters team to give dad a break) And always remember that Kaaaahibah girls are happy!!!!!!⚽️⚽️
    Cheers

Hi!

How are you? How was your day? Good? Awesome. I’d love to chat about what you did today, but you see, I kind of have to finish this blog post first. Maybe another time? Anyway, on to the important question. How was your hair day? Judging by your look, I’m going to assume it was pretty great. But what about yesterday? Or the day before? I didn’t see you yesterday, so I don’t actually know if you had a good hair day or not, but lets just assume that your hair was horrible. Like, big fuzz ball of broken dreams horrible. You probably needed something to help you get the knots out, or De-frizzasize it, right? Of course you did. You were having a bad hair day! Did you have something you help you De-frizzasize? If the answer is no, then this is the post for you. If the answer is yes, then this is still the post for you.

You may be confused. Just ten minutes ago I said that this Blog was now focused on graphic design. Puzzling, Right? As part of the ‘What’ section of this blog, This post is not only about how amazing these products are at De-frizzasizeing hair, but also about how utterly amazing the designs on the fronts of them are, and trying to get you lot inspired by it. Just so you know, I will also before we get started, I will be doing some non-graphic design stuff, capeesh? The brand is called pineapple heads, as you can probably tell from the title.

I love this brand. They are great for your hair, and smell AMAZING! Not to mention how wonderfully quirky the designs on the front are. I love them. OK, Id better stop rambling on about how amazing the designs on the front are, and just show you.

Here are some pics:

Now do you get me? I can just hear the little person in your head saying, “She was right! Those designs are wonderfully amazing!” The only thing you cant tell about these wonderful creations is how utterly AMAZING they smell. My favourite is the shampoo. Its peach, honeysuckle and lemon balm. Believe it or not, these bottles of awesomeness have even more to offer. On the back of every bottle, tube or container you will find a short little message. It’s awesome. Just have a look for yourself:

Turn trouble bath into bubble bath! A few squirts of us and your kids won’t want to get out. That’s because the only thing more fun than bubbles, is more bubbles! I’m made from passionflower, green tea, red apple, and nectarine and super strength awesomeness. Rocket scientists from the future have verified that every bubble contains 1mg of concentrated fun, and with 50 billion bubbles in every bottle, that’s like, wow!

-Pineapple Heads bubble bath

I love everything about this product. The smell, the designs, the functionality and even the writing on the back! I highly recommend you go buy it right now. Like, literally head over to Shop Naturally Right Now and order some. I’m not joking. Its THAT good!

I hope from now on you can take my advice and say goodbye to the big fuzz ball of broken dreams, and finally have a good hair day!

Hope you have a great day!
